Just for You!!..Magnolia DT and Challenges

I made this card for the Just Magnolia challenge...which is distressing...I love distressing so this was pretty easy for me. I also used the fabulous sketch from StampArtic ...looks like I may be a little late with this challenge though.

This cute little Magnolia is from the "A Little Yummy For Your Tummy Collection 2009" and is called "AY09 Peachy Tilda" The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

The image is colored with copics under the prismacolor pencils and a touch h20's to deepen the shade and add a little sparkle. *(Please remember.....do not use copics over prismacolor pencils or the wax from the pencils will ruin your copic tips!)*

Ink - memento black ink, SU bashful blue, creamy caramel. Papers - GP white, Magnolia, dcwv. Accessories - flower (Magnolia), leaves, shimmerz, pearls, button, embroidery floss, trim from dollar store, ribbon (Magnolia), stickles, glitter.

The weather was Beautiful here today....in fact the last week has been lovely. Amazing for this time of year. I hope it lasts...but that is asking a bit much...lol.

Have a Great Day Everyone!!...Please Take Care!!...and Thank You for your Lovely comments!!

Sending you a Big Hug (card for Kate)!!...and.."the Little Stamp Shop"

I made this card for a little girl named Kate....who has a very serious brain tumour. You can read more about it right here Cards for Kate. I found out about this through the very talented Curt at Curt's World....you can see his Gorgeous card for her right here.

I recieved this Sweet little Magnolia from Heidi the owner of "the Little Stamp Shoppe" and it's called Tilda with Kitten..... part of the Magnolia Pet Collection. I also used the ML08 Swing from the Magnolia and Lilac Summer Collection 2008. The sentiment I've used is part of a stamp set I won over a year ago....and is created by Aud...(I love these stamps!!)

Be sure to check out "theLittle Stamp Shoppe" and "the little stamp shoppe blog". Heidi is expecting a new shipment of stamps any day...including more of the Fabulous Halloween stamps from last year. My time as Guest DT has come to an end... It's been fun!. You will still be hearing a Little Stamp Shoppe news from me here and there. It's a great place to shop and Heidi jsut keeps adding Fabulous new stock!!!

The Sketch I've used for this card is from the Sketch Challenge I am running on my Magnolia blog right now...You can read more about it here at Sweet Magnolias.

On to the card....I've I colored the image with copics for base, prismacolor pencils and h20's to deepen the shade and add a little sparkle. *(Please remember.....do not use copics over prismacolor pencils or the wax from the pencils will ruin your copic tips!)*

Tilda is raised on foam pop ups. I stamped and colored the little kitties head separately and used a pop up to attach it. The sentiment is popped up as well. I only used part of the Magnolia swing...and added little brads and bows to the top of the ropes.

Ink - memento, bashful blue, creamy caramel. Paper - Georgia pacific, k&c wild raspberry, SU CS. Accessories -nesties, felt, flowers, button, embroidery floss, raffia lace, brads, stitching, glitter and shimmerz.

That's it for today....I'm hoping to get another card up soon...but we are going out of town for the weekend...so it's a little iffy. We've only been back from holidays for a weeek..and I have so many things on the burner right now....cards included...lol.

Have a Wonderful Day Everyone!!...and Thank you so much for your Lovely comments!!

You're So Sweet! - "the little Stamp Shoppe"

I am actually in time for a couple of challenges with this card....The Fabulous "sketch" at Friday Sketchers and the fun theme being "at the sea" at Stamp with Fun.

The stamps I have used for this card are all from Magnolia's Lazy Summers Day Collection 2009

All these stamps are available right now at "the little Stamp Shop". Here are names of the stamps I've used- "Bathing Ring" - "Beach Tilda" and "You're So Sweet".

** "the little Stamp Shoppe" has just had a new shipment of stamps come in... of the Lazy Summer Days Collection and also new ones of the previous collections. Heidi has also received Magnolia's Beautiful Lazy Summers Day Designer Paper!! ...and is offering it in a lovely affordable Sampler pkg!! Be sure to check these Fabulous items and more at...."the little Stamp Shoppe"**

On to the card....Again I've I colored the image with copics for base, prismacolor pencils and h20's to deepen the shade and add a little sparkle. *(Please remember.....do not use copics over prismacolor pencils or the wax from the pencils will ruin your copic tips!)*

Tilda has been masked off so she could sit on the bathing ring. To create the sentiment...I also masked off the adjoining works on the You're So Sweet stamp so I could stamp them out separately...then just tore around them and inked the edges with SU Creamy Caramel ink. I used nesties for the circle and scalloped layer and attached the image circle with foam pop ups onto the scalloped layer. There is shimmerz (Angel wings) brushed on the flowers along the bottom of the image.

Ink - memento black, bashful blue, creamy caramel. Paper - GP white, basic grey "Euphoria", Michael's, bazill cs. Accessories - flowers, lace, glitter brads, shimmerz, ribbon, nesties, stitching, acrylic paint for detail dots.

Today my dear hubby and I have been married for 36 Wonderful years!!....Remember the little "Rock On Honey" card?...well that is the card I gave him for our Anniversary this morning.....and he totally loved it...Yay!! Well I'm off for now....maybe for a little wine...and dine.......

Have a Lovely Day Everyone!!......and Thank you so much for all your Wonderful Comments!!

"Just wanted to tell you"....Motivet

I used last weeks Creative Corner sketch for this card....I am a little late for the challenge....but it was a fun sketch to use anyway!!

Both the stamps on this card are from Motivet....This sweet Doraline is called "Doraline - Sorry" The sentiment is called "I just wanted to say..." I think this little Doraline and this sentiment is so versatile......she looks ready to deliver any greeting....so I will add one later inside the card.

I've colored Doraline with copics first as a base under my prismacolor pencils. I then used h20's to deepen the shade..and add a little sparkle. *(Please remember.....do not use copics over prismacolor pencils or the was from the pencils will ruin your copic tips!)*

Both the nestie panel, Doraline and the main flower is popped up on foam dimensionals. I've also placed one under the center of the sentiment...to raise it. I've used diamond glaze on the bow and shoes ...(can hardly see it in the photo though)

I cut out the pink felt flower with my flower spellbinders die. It worked perfectly!! I discovered a container full of felt sheets I had stored away from my older crafting days....Thank goodness I never threw them out. It really made my day to find them...I tell ya'...lol.

Ink - memento black, bashful blue, creamy caramel

Paper - GP white, treasures CS, My Minds Eye, Basic Grey

Accessories - dew drops, flowers, felt, trim, lace, buttons, MS leaf punch, SU flower punch, pearls, stitching, embroidery thread, diamond glaze.

Have a Great Day Everyone!!...and Thank you so much for your Lovely Comments!!!

Be sure to check out the High Hopes Challenge Blog to see Gorgeous cards the Divas have made. Join in the challenge and you could win some really cute HH stamps!

The name of the High Hopes stamp I've used on this card is called "Summer Sweetness". Could this name be any more perfect? The sentiment on this card is created on the computer...but High Hopes has a sentiment perfect for this image..."You're one in a Melon".

I used copics and prismacolor pencils to color this card. I also used H20's to deepen the shade. The little detail dots are made with a stylus using acrylic white paint.

Nesties were used for the circles (how did I ever do anything without them?...lol).

The lace flower was created by gathering a small amount of lace and tying it off to form a circle. I borrowed this idea from the very talented Bev.....here is her card and instructions. Be sure to check out her blog..."All things I love"...her creations are Amazing!!

Ink - versafine black, bashful blue, mellow moss

Paper - GP white, MME, always artichoke, treasures CS

It's time for another High Hopes Challenge....and this week it's called Creative Borders and is brought to you by Yours Truly.....lol. I would like to see any kind of border on your card, punched, buttons, lace, brads, fabric.....be sure to go to the High Hopes blog for some fabulous ideas and inspiration. Join in...and you will have a chance to win the stamps I've used in the above card........"Maribelle Cow" and the sentiment, "Cow ya doing?.

I think Maribelle has got to be Absolutely the Cutest Cow...and she is super fast to color.....I used prismacolor pencils (oms) and a bit of twinkling h20's to deepen the shade a bit. Acrylic white paint is what I use for the white dots.I have added an extra bell and tuff of hair to Mariebelle....only raising them both up partially for dimension. Maribelle and the sentiment and the whole panel are raised with pop dots. I added gold stickles to the bell.

The borders on the outside are actually gingham fabric ...I cut them in strips and sewed them down to the front CS using the zig zag stitch....so easy.....I thought I might have a problem but it sewed through perfectly! I then glued on the corners.....which is just a little distressed square of red cs in which I have attached the flowers with a brad. I used a border punch for the layer in the back of the image.

Ink - versafine black, bashful blue, creamy caramel, close to cocoa

Paper - GP white, bazill, paper studio, k&company

Accessories - flowers, brads, fabric, cord, jute, shimmerz, stickles, stitching, border punch
