High Hopes August "Project of the Month"!!

This card is made with all the stamps in the High Hopes August "Project of the Month"

This Fabulous set features five recent New Release HOTP stamps.....Including...On Guard Oberto - Treasure Map - Ships Wheel - Polly - Ahoy

All the coloring is done with Prismacolor pencils (OMS) and H20's to deepen the shading....white acrylic paint is used for the accent dots.

I used navy embroidery floss for the stitching around the image. Diamond Glaze on Obertos eye patch and sword handle. The image is glued to the torn red layer and popped up with foam dimensionals over the night of navy layer.

The map is colored here and there, sponged with a bit of old olive ink .....crumpled, distressed and then the edges were sponged with close to cocoa ink.

Polly parrot was a blast to color...mainly because parrots can be any color. Part of Polly is raised on dimensionals.

There is gold embossing on the four corners of the card.

Hubby and I are going to the US for a few days. On Sat Trina and her hubby are going to meet us in Minot for some great shopping and supper. Then we are all heading back to Canada and will be spending the night at Trina's. It is going to be a Fabulous weekend!!
