Mini Cards for Shane!

It's been a very busy weekend. My husband who usually works a lot of overtime took Sat and Sunday off. On Sat. we went to Regina to do a little shopping. On Sunday we planted the garden...I'm glad that is done...cause it has been raining most of today. In Regina I bought a few pair of Crocs They are so comfy...I bought 1 pair of the Traditional and 1 pair of Mary Jane's. They sure are colorful ...but I kind of stuck with the darker green types. I also went to Costco. I found the new #4 stack of designer paper...Very nice. I picked up a pkg each for 2 of my daughters as well. I never had time to get to a scrappin' store..but that is probably a good thing....cause...my daughter Trina went to Minot, ND yesterday and bought a whole pile of goodies. If Trina and I find something we think the other would like we always buy an extra...and I know for a fact that Trina bought many extras yesterday...lol.

Here are my very simple mini cards for Shane. They fit perfectly side by side in the envelope with the Hoppy Birthday card. Cardstock - Michaels, SU whisper white, Basic grey. Stamps - SU Love Ya Bunches, MSE. Coloring and doodling is H20's and markers. Inks are SU classic black, close to cocoa and creamy caramel. Red hemp string. SU Iridescent Ice embossing powder.

This card uses basically the same supplies so I will just add what is different. Green paper is Costco (embossed with the happy birthday cuttlebug folder). Stamps are Studio G and a Walmart bee stamp. Ribbon is Michael's.

They bought me a Bind it all , coils, some Bee Stamps, Tailored Tins -Date Builder, Basic Grey 6x6 Phoebe and Stella Ruby paper....I am so Spoilt. ..Even my sons bought me scrap booking supplies. It's been a Great Day!! I can hardly wait to play with all these goodies!!!

Mother's Day Doodle!

Last Friday my daughter and I went to Michael's. There were many changes as well as many things added in their paper craft department. We had a great time....it was like being in a brand new scrappin' store.

The Martha Stewart line was pretty impressive. Boy!...when she comes in she certainly does it with a bang. Her products were pretty nice ...I'm sure they will appeal to a lot of people. She has beautiful fine glitters. Her stamps and inks were nice ...but not to my taste....(but sometimes later on things grow on me...know what I mean?). She had some very nice ribbon, and all her products look to be fine quality.

What did I buy of Martha's?....Just one fine glitter and glitter glue. Her prices are pretty high and although I thought I could sure use some of her nice punches, not being able to use a coupon makes a big difference for me. I'm sure they will probably have a sale eventually...but...since I am so far from a Michael's it is a hit or miss type of thing for me.

I again was very impressed with the K&Company products. Beautiful paper and products at quite reasonable prices. Since I can use a coupon for the large paper pads..I am very happy and then tend to overbuy on everything else simply because I got a deal on something large priced...lol..am I hopeless or what?

Now on to the card I made for my Mother for Mother's Day......I hope she likes it!

The stamp sets are both from Stampin' Up.. Doodle This and I think All-Year Cheer II. The card stock is Stampin' Up as well as the inks. Embellishments are; Stampin' Up ribbon and clear embossing powder, Ranger stickles, Prima flower, a gold brad and sewing.

Thank you so much for looking....Have a Great Day! ...and to all the mother's a Wonderful Happy Mother's Day!!!

Birthday Latte!

My youngest son had his 25th Birthday on Monday. I can hardly believe he's 25 yrs old...time just seems to be flying by faster and faster.

He is a coffee and latte lover so this SU set came in real handy.

I used SU cardstock and inks. The SU stamp set is called "Like It A Latte". The sentiments are "Amazing to Zany". The circle tag is "Riveting". (all from Stampin Up).

The patterned paper is from K&Company. The ribbon is from Michaels.

Accents are; Scribbles 3d paint, Sakura Stardust pen and SU embossing powders.

Tommorrow I am going to Regina with one of my daughters. I am hoping to get a peek at the new Martha Stewart scrapbooking products. I've been hearing alot about them. I will let ya' all know what I think of them.

Thanks for visiting my Blog!!
