Babies & Bunnies

Yay!!! Tomorrow I can order from the SU Spring Mini. I am going to order the Special Bundle and Doodle this. My husband said I can order the Paper cutter for myself for my coming Birthday (which isn't for a few months...gotta talk him into letting me have it as soon as it comes). Hmmn... maybe I should start thinking about Mother's Day too...lol.
Here is a baby card I recentlly made. I used the set A New Little Someone from SU.

The Pink Card stock is from Costco. The brown card stock and ink is SU Close to Cocoa. The scalloped layer is made with a Provo craft scissors. I water colored the bunny with H2o's and a paint brush. I spattered the card with a brown water color pencil and a old paintbrush. I just wet the brush and flicked it on the open lead over the card stock.

I'd like to Thank Everyone for their kind comments on my cards. It really makes my day!!

Buds Birthday

A few days ago I went to the city with my husband for his eye appointment. I noticed a scrapbook store just a block away. You can guess where I went. Hubby told me to go to the car when I was done...lol..he had to come and get me..as usual I was still browsing. I had a great time looking at the Basic Grey paper. I just love that stuff..the look and the feel of it. It reminds me of when I was in my obsessive fabric phase...and yes...I may win the contest titled, "The one who dies with the most fabric Wins!' Interests change, I haven't bought fabric for a few years....But, before I'm through..lol..I may be eligible to enter a few more of these types of contests e.g. paper, stamps & ink!

I made this card for my Mothers Birthday. I used SU Bud Basics stamp set. I love the 2 step stamping, it looks good even when your not lining it up. The paper was from Costco. Cardstock, ink and ribbon was from SU. I used diamond glaze on MOM. Stitched on ribbon with a gold pen. I used my new SU punch for the corners.

Have a Great Day!

Hugs and Kisses

Wow! I was begining to think I was not going to get these finished for Valentines Day...but I did (like yesterday at 4:00 p.m.)

I used Costco paper for the the base. I stamped the backgrounds with a SU Love Matters set. I used SU Close to Cocoa and White Craft Ink. Corrugated paper is SU Choc Chip. Netting is dry wall tape. Hearts are just cut out. Hugs and Kisses is a Michael's stamp, embossed with White. Doodles are SU white pen. Assorted ribbons were used for the top.

I'm pretty happy with them. Happier that everyone I gave them to liked them. But who wouldn't??? They had Hershey's Hugs and Maraschino Kisses in them...Mm mm.

Bella Valentine

My daughter and I ordered Bellas together over a month ago and we are already thinking we may need more. Not only are the Bellas the cutest gals.. they stamp beautifully. I really enjoyed making this card. I used SU Close to Cocoa Cardstock for the card base and front piece. Costco paper for the green. Textured DCWV paper for the pink. Cuttlebug Swirl embossing folder. Green ribbon is from Michaels. Silver string is from SU. I love you stamp is from Michaels. I colored the Bella with prismacolor pencils and used odourless mineral spirits to blend. I cut out little hearts, used stickles for sparkle and dimensional for pop. This Valentine is going to be for my Hubby. He's going to have to remember way, way back to relate me with that beautiful figure though..lol.

Hearts, Ribbons and Lace

This is my first post and I have a few Valentine cards to share. This first one is a card I made for my Mother. She is an absolutely wonderful woman and friend to me. She is 88 yrs young. I hope she likes it and knows how special she is to me.
The heart is a Technique Tuesday stamp. It is stamped with Versamark and SU Real Red..then embossed with SU Iridescent Ice. I used Michaels red cardstock for the card base. Cosco cardstock for the pink cuttlebug layer. I used a scallop punch for the cuttlebug layer and cut a square hole in the red base of the card just a little smaller than the cuttlebug scalloped hole.
The lace and ribbon were just hanging around my craft room. The netting is drywall tape. I used the computer for the wording and Large SU oval punch. I traced around the oval with pencil on red cardstock and used a scallop scissors to to cut around it. The punched red flower was embossed with Iridescent Ice, placed on a satin flower (I cut down to size) and held together with a silver flower brad. The edges are shaded with SU Real Red and a sponge.
On the right is a photo of the inside. I punched a scrap of copy paper with the scalloped punch and used it for a stencil to sponge the edges around the heart. The heart is attached with a few foam dimentionals.
