Happy Holidays!! Cute Card Thursday!

I was so inspired by all the Xmas cards for last weeks Cute Card Thursday..that I made this Xmas card for this weeks challenge.......which is to use brads, buttons and ribbon.

This Cute Snowlady is from High Hopes and is called "Snow Sweet Snowlady". I just love the little bird sitting so relaxed and happy on her shoulder.

I was happy to use my basic grey figgy pudding paper here. Because it was so popular last year ...it was always on back order...so I received it rather late in the season....and hardly got to use it. I have to wonder what paper it will be this year that I will be drooling over.

For the layout of this card I used the SC180 sketch...what a great sketch to work with!!

The Snowlady and sentiment is set on foam dimensionals.

I used diamond glaze on the birds beak and the candy cane. Glitter for the base and stickles for everything else that sparkles.

The ribbon was something I never thought I would use...goes to show ..never say never..lol.

Image was colored with prismacolor pencils (OMS) and h20's. Details are white acrylic paint.

Stamps - High Hopes "Snow Sweet Snow Lady", SU Warmest Regards

Paper - whisper white, always artichoke, michaels, basic grey

Ink - versafine black, bordering blue, creamy caramel

Accessories - ribbon, brads, buttons, stickles, glitter, diamond glaze, stitching, swiss dot cb folder, nesties, cord.

We have gotten a lot of rain this past few days. Everything is so beautifully green and fresh smelling. We've been very lucky no really severe storms although we have had warnings.

I received an this award from Alex at Funkelzauber's Stamping World this week. Thank you so much Alex. Check out her blog .....it is Fabulous!!

Have a Great Day Everyone!! Thanks for looking!!!

Stampin' Granny Challenge!!

Deb at Stampin' on the Mountain (aka..Stampin' Granny....Gosh! don't ya' all just love that name?) has some Fabulous candy up for grabs!! All you have to do is make a white card. Deb has some Gorgeous examples on her blog for you to see...among other Fabulous creations!! You have to hurry though cause this Challenge is over on Sunday at 12:00 a.m.

Well...I did not find making an all white card as easy as I thought it would be...but I am happy with this card. So Thanks Deb!!..for a great challenge!!!

I used my nestabilites to make the scalloped frame. I use inked it with versamark...added SU heat n' stick powder....heated it up and then added Martha Stewart fine glitter. I then popped it up with foam dimensionals.

Tip!.....So I wouldn't muck up the front of the frame....I put a foam dimensional on the back before using versamark and then used a craft tweezers to hold onto the foam so I could add the powders and glitter.

So this pretty well wraps it up......white cs.....friend cuttlebug embossing folder...flowers, ribbon, glitter and a bit of stitching and distressing...(of course).

Do you ever wonder why I add distressing so much??..Well I do love the look...but...I swear I can't cut straight half the time...so the distressing takes the stress out of that problem somewhat....I also tend to glue my panels on crookedly very often too....again.....distressing helps with that as well. Me and my dirty little secrets...lol.

Have a Great Day Everyone!!! Thanks for looking!!!

Tilda & Kitty-DT

I used the sketch from this last weeks Friday Sketchers. Kimmie at Kraftin' Kimmie's Korner supplied this Fabulous sketch! I also made this card to participate in the Tilda & Co challenge which is to use swirls on your creation this week.

Tilda and her Kitty are both from Magnolia. Tilda is called - VA08 Tilda med kvast and the Kitty is - SA07 Tildas Katt . You can click on their names to find these Cuties. The sentiment is from Hero Arts.

I used prismacolor pencils (OMS) and H20's to color...and white acrylic paint for accents.

The Tilda base and Kitty are popped up with foam dimensionals. The bottom green layer has been embossed with the CB swirl folder, the corner is a CB die and the burgundy swirls are a Sizzix die.

The red netting trim is a goodie from Bernie at CraftyB...(thanks Bernie)

Paper - whisper white, cardstock base and assorted beautiful pp from Magnolia....Always Artichoke, Michaels, Wild Asparagus

Ink - Versafine black, creamy caramel, barely banana

Accessories - flowers, button, brads, pearls, glitter, stickles, lace from Magnolia, netting, ribbon, CB swirl folder and corner, sizzix die for scrolls

I will leave you with a link for some Wonderful Blog Candy!!

Donalda at Enjoying The Journey has Fabulous die cuts up for grabs!! While your there gaze upon at her Gorgeous creations!!

Summer Fun ATC

I made this ATC to participate in 3 challenges. Tilda and Friends ATC Challenges ...... Tilda and Company ...and The Magnolia DT Challenge ..which is to use one of the first stamps you have.

Tilda is popped up on dimensionals at the top of her. There is some glitter on the water here and there..but it doesn't show up. I added the yellow dots......thinking of the. "Itsy bitsy teeny weeny yellow polka dot bikini" song......lol...in this case it being a 1 piece bathing suit.

I colored it all with prismacolor pencils and h20's.....yellow dots and white accents are acrylic paint. The background with the clouds was an idea I was inspired by with the card Inge sent me for my birthday....you can see this lovely card in this post.

Stamps.....JU07 Tilda badar .......The sun SO-C07 Tildas Sol was shared with me by Claudia Rosa......(Thanks Claudia) You can find all these stamps at Magnolia store

Paper - whisper white, always artichoke

Ink - Bashful blue, creamy caramel

Accessories - label maker, cord, glitter

Thanks for looking everyone....and for your lovely comments!!!

More Birthday cards and a RAK

Sorry I am so long in posting. I've had a busy weekend.....company and our twin daughters birthday which we celebrated on Sat. We played games outside during the day and had a late campfire supper. We had a very nice time.

Other than that it has been gardening time!! The weather has been cooperating...so we have been very busy. I have a small vegetable garden...an oriental garden in the far back with our fire pit and many perennial gardens closer to the house. I am so lucky this year.....my hubby has really put in a lot more time than usual helping me with them...so it is all getting done a little quicker. Actually I mentioned closing down a few of the flower gardens.....(more time for stamping..lol) and that is when my DH decided to help....(works for me). Soon I will be back to stamping more.

I have some Gorgeous Birthday cards and a RAK to share with you!

This one is from Inge....at Patterned Paper along with some fabulous goodies. Check out Inge's blog. Inge is also a DT member for High Hopes and Magnolia (to name a few) and her creations are Super Gorgeous!! This one is from Beth at Sunflowers and Dragonflies. Beth always has the most brilliant tutorials on her blog. I don't think there is a technique that Beth hasn't done.....check out her blog...cause she is always busy sharing something fabulous besides her wonderful creations.

This one is from Flossie at Flossie goes Hi Tech. When I opened this card up ...it was like a celebration in itself......fun birthday confetti came out all over!! How fun is that? Flossie has a Wonderful blog ..be sure to stop and see her Fabulous creations....you will usually come away smilin'.

This is a lovely RAK I've recieved from my friend Tina at Yummy Scrummy Create (Ready Steady Go....) . All the images were wrapped in ribbon....it was like Xmas..opening these all up. Tina's blog is Fabulous and filled with Beautiful Creations! ...plan to stay a while!

I Love everyone of these Beautiful cards girls.....You are all Wonderful!! Thank You So Much and a Big Hug for you all!!

Have a Good Day Everyone!...I'll be back soon......
