"Cow ya doing?" - High Hopes Ch#24

It's time for another High Hopes Challenge....and this week it's called Creative Borders and is brought to you by Yours Truly.....lol. I would like to see any kind of border on your card, punched, buttons, lace, brads, fabric.....be sure to go to the High Hopes blog for some fabulous ideas and inspiration. Join in...and you will have a chance to win the stamps I've used in the above card........"Maribelle Cow" and the sentiment, "Cow ya doing?.

I think Maribelle has got to be Absolutely the Cutest Cow...and she is super fast to color.....I used prismacolor pencils (oms) and a bit of twinkling h20's to deepen the shade a bit. Acrylic white paint is what I use for the white dots.I have added an extra bell and tuff of hair to Mariebelle....only raising them both up partially for dimension. Maribelle and the sentiment and the whole panel are raised with pop dots. I added gold stickles to the bell.

The borders on the outside are actually gingham fabric ...I cut them in strips and sewed them down to the front CS using the zig zag stitch....so easy.....I thought I might have a problem but it sewed through perfectly! I then glued on the corners.....which is just a little distressed square of red cs in which I have attached the flowers with a brad. I used a border punch for the layer in the back of the image.

Ink - versafine black, bashful blue, creamy caramel, close to cocoa

Paper - GP white, bazill, paper studio, k&company

Accessories - flowers, brads, fabric, cord, jute, shimmerz, stickles, stitching, border punch

Have a Great Day Everyone!!.... and Thank you so much for your Lovely Comments!!

"Happy Easter" - High Hopes Ch#22

This weeks High Hopes Challenge is brought to us by our lovely Guest Diva Diana. She would like to see you make cards without patterned paper!!....Kind of scary isn't it?....I was amazed though at how easy and fun it actually is!!....I've had the flower I used on this card for almost a year.....I thought it was so Cute when I bought it ...but discovered it lost most of its shine on a busier type of card....here though...I think it looks great!!

Be sure to stop in at the HH Challenge Blog to see all the creative and Fabulous designs the Divas have made......Join in ...and you'll have a chance to win a couple of really cute High Hopes stamps!

The Cute Bunny I've used for this card is from High Hopes recent HOTP stamps and is called "Bunny with Gift". The sentiment is called "Dot Happy Easter" and is from an older release.

I used the SC219 sketch to make this card and colored the image with Prismacolor Pencils (oms) and Twinkling h20's.

The Bunny panel and the sentiment are both raised with foam pop ups.

I used scribbles, velvet flock and glitter on the Bunny tail and under his neck. I also used glitter on a few placed on the egg. Although it is hard to see..there is diamond glaze on the Bunny's nose and teeth.

Paper - GP white, Treasures and bazill CS

Ink - versafine black, bashful blue, mellow moss, apricot appeal, pretty in pink, old olive marker

"Be Mine" - Magnolia DT

Is it too late for Valentines??....Ahh....maybe we'll just call this a Love card....the colors are a little non traditional anyway.....

I've used one of the new Magnolia Love Collection stamps on this card......."LC09 Be Mine" ...As soon as I saw this stamp I thought of this little Tilda from the Magnolia New Year 2008 Collection ..."NY08 Dreamy Tilda". She almost seems to fit on top...lol. I've also used Jacquelines sketch here from a past Friday Sketchers. Thanks for the great sketch Jacqueline!!

The images were colored with prisamacolor pencils (oms), twinkling h20's and a copic E00 skin white marker for the skin (face and hands).

I used the SU Paisley background Stamp and Sahara Sand ink to give the white cs a little bit of texture. (heart, white layer and scrolls)

Quick Kutz die for the scrolls. Nesties for the scalloped heart. Cuttle bug die for the corners. Martha Stewart punches for the foliage.

Shimmerz on the flowers. Glitter on Tilda's wings, lace, be mine lace, scrolls and brads.

Tilda and Be Mine are popped up with foam dots.....and then the whole heart for added dimension.

Paper - GP white, Michael's white, Magnolia CS, dcwv and Fancy Pants (sweetpea), green scraps for leaves.

Ink - versafine black, creamy caramel, garden green, sahara sand

Accessories - pearls. bling, ribbon, cord, flowers, brads trim, stitching, Cuttle bug, MS punches

Hm mm...my counter is getting higher and higher......Wow!.....almost 150,000 hits......Just about time to celebrate with some candy in the near future!!
