Happy Birthday!

We had company over the weekend. My daughter Trina came for the weekend. Kim who also lives out of town came for a day. It was a good visit.

Today I have a card I made for my Mother's 89th Birthday. The stamp I used is a High Hopes image.....I know she'll get a kick out of these happy clucky gals.

You can visit High Hopes Stamps here .

I also used the SC150 sketch challenge for this card.

Stamps - High Hopes and studio G for sentiment

Paper - always artichoke, whisper white, michaels, wild asparagus, sizzix stack

Ink - classic black, colorbos black pigment for sentiment, close to cocoa, creamy caramel

Accents - flowers, brad, eyelets, charm, cuttlebug background, stitching, cord, stardust pen and stickles.

I used prismacolor pencils (oms) and Twinkling h20's to deepen the shading.

If you have any questions feel free to ask. Have a Great Day!!

Tis the Season and Look what I Got!!

It is a very windy cool day here in Saskatchewan...it feels like winter is on his way.

We went to Saskatoon on Sat to visit my Mother for her birthday. My oldest brother and his lovely wife (who made the best carrot cake we've ever eaten) set up a wonderful celebration for her. It was held in the home my mother stays in. Most of our family made it there and one brother brought his electric piano and played old songs for most of the afternoon. Mom loved it.....there was lots of laughing and singing and I think it made a brighter day for most of the seniors in the home.

Yesterday we spent most of the day in Regina. We got a fair amount of Xmas shopping done. At Costco they had a K&Company gift box of 300 designer papers including some with glitter. It was only $19.99....Of course I can't really open the box to look at the paper...because my DH bought it for me for Xmas .....Waah!!...but by looking at the outside pics.....It is Fabulous paper!!

Now on to my card..."Tis the Season"

I love this cute little elf from High Hopes ...and I used the SC149 sketch for this card;

Stamps - High Hopes and HOTP

Paper - whisper white, blue bayou, dcwv, basic grey

Ink - classic black, creamy caramel, close to cocoa

Accessories - snowflakes, ribbon, stitching, bling, glitter

I colored this image with Prismacolor pencils (OMS) and H20's

Look What I Got!!!! ....I am So Lucky!!
