Happy Thoughts!

The weather has been just beautiful here...so I thought I would share this simple quick and happy card. I made it for a swap a short time ago.

Trina gave me this happy little HM image. I tend to only use red for Valentines Day or Xmas...but it seemed to go well here..and it was fun to work with such a happy energetic color.

Stamps - House Mouse

Ink - Versafine black, bashful blue, creamy caramel, close to cocoa

Paper - whisper white, basic gray, my minds eye

Accessories - ribbon, nesties, brad, glitter.

Have a Great Weekend filled with Happy Thoughts and Sunshine!! Thanks for looking and all your lovely comments!!

Tagged Again and Just for You

I hope everyone had a Great Halloween. We had almost 70 ghosts and goblins. That's more than usual for us. It was so much fun seeing all the neat costumes.

This afternoon I got high speed Internet. I can't believe how fast it is!! I am going to love this. I will be uploading a lot more often....Yay!!

I have been tagged by June ...Be sure and visit her Fabulous Blog at Simply Elegant Paper Crafts....you'll be glad you did. On to the tag......

1. If you could have 100.00 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose?

This is too hard.....I love paper but I think I would take the embellishments.....

2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or rubons, which would you choose?

Stamps....I am a stampaholic!!

3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts but could only do one for a whole year...which would you do?

Cards, Cards, Cards...I love making them.

4. Would you rather own a scrap booking store or have your own scrapping room at home...(can't have both he he he).

Although I think it would be fun for a while to have a Scrap booking store.....I know how much work it is to have a business...lots of paperwork and little time to create....I'll keep my stamp space at home.

5. What is your CURRENT card making or scrapping style?

I am not really sure. I like simple ...and well embellished. I like clean looking cards and distressed....and I would like to make them all....lol. I generally let the image after it is stamped or colored dictate the style I feel goes with it.

Here are the rules..............

Please answer the questions on your blog and tag 5 more people to answer the same questions..........make sure you list on your blog who you are tagging....Thanks!!

Now to tag 5 people......hopefully some of these people haven't been tagged.

RAK Request and Anniversary Card!

RAK Request

Recently my brother (Dana) has been diagnosed with terminal stage 4 cancer. He has a very short time left...ten months being the longest with treatment. It still seems very hard to believe that he will not be with us for very long. He is a 55 years old, not married nor does he have any children. He has a wonderful appreciation for simplicity in life and handmade cards. Please go to my daughters blog to read even more about him.

If anyone would like to send him a handmade card...It would be so very appreciated. Please email me for his name and address....my email is goody1woody@yahoo.com.

House Mouse Hee hee!

It is a beautiful day here today...not to hot or cool and not windy for a change......hm mm almost sounds like something is brewing doesn't it? We had a pretty bad storm a few days ago...with some hail damage on our van, one of my daughters car and my outdoor plastic end table....but hey, it could always be worse....and I must admit, the lawn certainly looks green now. Funny.. I can water and water the lawn and it seems to just barely hold its own...but give it one earth shattering, ground shaking storm and it just perks right up!

Today I have a card that I made for the recent Sketch Challenge; http://www.splitcoaststampers.com/forums/showthread.php?t=273947

This was a fun sketch to work with. Check out the gallery of submissions for this sketch ... it is Fabulous!!

Here is my card...my goal was to make it suitable for even a fellas birthday...what do you think?

Stamps - House mouse, SU "It's your Birthday", Karen foster snap stamps.

Ink - Creamy caramel, close to cocoa, classic black and Vesafine black.

Paper - SU whisper white, DCWV textured card stock, K&C paper.

Image is colored with Prismacolor pencils and oderless mineral spirits...balloons are accented with Sakura stardust pens. It's your birthday is embossed.

Accessories - ribbon, brads, stitching, paper piercing for corners, scallops are done with the oval scallop punch and the coluzzle.

Thanks for looking and have a, "Super Wonderful Weekend" Everyone!!
