Tis the Season and Look what I Got!!

It is a very windy cool day here in Saskatchewan...it feels like winter is on his way.

We went to Saskatoon on Sat to visit my Mother for her birthday. My oldest brother and his lovely wife (who made the best carrot cake we've ever eaten) set up a wonderful celebration for her. It was held in the home my mother stays in. Most of our family made it there and one brother brought his electric piano and played old songs for most of the afternoon. Mom loved it.....there was lots of laughing and singing and I think it made a brighter day for most of the seniors in the home.

Yesterday we spent most of the day in Regina. We got a fair amount of Xmas shopping done. At Costco they had a K&Company gift box of 300 designer papers including some with glitter. It was only $19.99....Of course I can't really open the box to look at the paper...because my DH bought it for me for Xmas .....Waah!!...but by looking at the outside pics.....It is Fabulous paper!!

Now on to my card..."Tis the Season"

I love this cute little elf from High Hopes ...and I used the SC149 sketch for this card;

Stamps - High Hopes and HOTP

Paper - whisper white, blue bayou, dcwv, basic grey

Ink - classic black, creamy caramel, close to cocoa

Accessories - snowflakes, ribbon, stitching, bling, glitter

I colored this image with Prismacolor pencils (OMS) and H20's

Look What I Got!!!! ....I am So Lucky!!

I received this Totally Fabulous blog candy from Norma ....be sure and visit her Wonderful blog...Ditty Dots She is always creating something Fabulous!!

I won these Fabulous Cute Images on Carla's blog. I just love them and look that Gorgeous card she sent with it!! You've got to love Carla's blog Moralia’s Weblog ....her creations are Fantastic and she always has something Wonderful going on there usually including great candy and prizes.

Tagged Again and Just for You

I hope everyone had a Great Halloween. We had almost 70 ghosts and goblins. That's more than usual for us. It was so much fun seeing all the neat costumes.

This afternoon I got high speed Internet. I can't believe how fast it is!! I am going to love this. I will be uploading a lot more often....Yay!!

I have been tagged by June ...Be sure and visit her Fabulous Blog at Simply Elegant Paper Crafts....you'll be glad you did. On to the tag......

1. If you could have 100.00 worth of scrapbook paper or assorted embellishments, which would you choose?

This is too hard.....I love paper but I think I would take the embellishments.....

2. If you had to choose between using only stamps or rubons, which would you choose?

Stamps....I am a stampaholic!!

3. If you knew how to do both awesome cards and layouts but could only do one for a whole year...which would you do?

Cards, Cards, Cards...I love making them.

4. Would you rather own a scrap booking store or have your own scrapping room at home...(can't have both he he he).

Although I think it would be fun for a while to have a Scrap booking store.....I know how much work it is to have a business...lots of paperwork and little time to create....I'll keep my stamp space at home.

5. What is your CURRENT card making or scrapping style?

I am not really sure. I like simple ...and well embellished. I like clean looking cards and distressed....and I would like to make them all....lol. I generally let the image after it is stamped or colored dictate the style I feel goes with it.

Here are the rules..............

Please answer the questions on your blog and tag 5 more people to answer the same questions..........make sure you list on your blog who you are tagging....Thanks!!

Now to tag 5 people......hopefully some of these people haven't been tagged.

I'm Tagged

First off I want to make sure that everyone realizes that I do not have 4 dogs living in my house. ..only Buddy.

The others belong to my grown up daughters that live away from home...in fact different towns and cities. I got the feeling that some thought they all lived with me......don't get me wrong ... I love dogs....but I am not that "Special" of a person to be able to raise 4 dogs in my home. I truly admire people that do. The place where I got buddy had 4 live in dogs...some rescued ...Fabulous people....well behaved dogs.... you would never have known all these animals were even there. My daughter has 2 dogs and I admire her also.

Thanks everyone for all your lovely comments about Buddy and my Grand-doggies.

I'm Tagged ......by Carla at Moralia’s Weblog.

Be sure to check out Carla's Fabulous Blog...not only are her creations Fantastic!..she always has the most Wonderful Sketches and contests going on. You don't want to miss it!!

Here are the rules for this tag..

1. Link to the person that tagged you and post the rules on your blog.

2. Share 7 random and/or weird facts about yourself (on your blog, we all want to know them).

3. Tag 7 random people at the end of your post and include links to their blogs.

Here goes...

1. I hate liver....I have since I was little ...and it doesn't matter how it's cooked!!!

2. I love walking.....every day if I can.....in fact I really don't feel good unless I get that walk in.

3. I like to wear loose crappy clothes around the house.

4. I love deep fried mushrooms......in fact I pretty well like any kind of mushrooms ...in anything.

5. I love salads and can eat them everyday...especially if there are mushrooms in them...lol.

6. I have naturally curly hair.........when I was young I use to do anything to straighten it ...now I am just so happy to just let it go.

7. I've never been on an airplane.....A few years ago my dh and I were at an airshow and 2 planes crashed right in front of us ...killing both pilots and passengers....very traumatic...Ever since...neither my dh nor I feel we are missing anything by not going on a plane.

Okay......Now to tag 7 other people. All these people have Totally Fabulous Blogs....but some of these bloggers are new commenter's on my blog and I would love to know more about them if they have time to play.

There's a Puppy in the House..or is it a Bear or a Gremlin???

Hi Everyone, I've been very busy...I got a new puppy last Wednesday night. His is a Bichon/Shihtzu.
His name is, "Buddy"...and he is such a Sweetie! His house training is well under way....but don't leave your shirt on the floor or he may surprise you with a little piddle.

I'm crate training him and he loves his little Kennel. He has begun to hide his toys and goodies is there...and if I say potty (we are going outside now) and he doesn't have to go....he runs like a little demon into his Kennel. Which is all right, cause he doesn't allow any bathroom habits in there.
Last night he slept from 11:30 to 7:00 AM. without needing to go to the bathroom....he will whine in his Kennel if he needs to go and before this, it was a couple times during the night. I hope he keeps this up...cause I sure enjoyed the sleep.
He's already learned to sit and down. Still working on stay and come. We go for a few short walks a day with his leash and halter. He is doing very well ....it takes him a little while to warm up though. I'm hoping the weather holds out so we can get the walking down pat for the winter. He looks soooo cold even though he has a ton of hair.

Now I want to show you his playmates......our Wonderful Grand-doggies... Harlee and Wynter are my oldest daughter Trina's fur-children...Trina and her husband live 3 hours away...Buddy hasn't met them yet but will soon. ... Harley - American Eskimo/Lab.....isn't she Beautiful??

Wynter - American Eskimo/Pug....She loves food and attention.....in that order please.

Last but definitely not the least ....another new addition to the family...our daughter Kim's (who lives a 1/2 hr drive away) new puppy, "Buster".....Maltese/Shihtzu. He reminds me of a fluffy cuddly pyjama pillow...and look at that nose....don't you just want to, "honk" it???...lol. Buddy has met him and thinks he's pretty neat.
On Thanksgiving Harley, Wynter and Buster were visiting here. On Christmas there will be 4 dogs here altogether.......What a Blast!!
I hope I didn't bore anyone too much with my large doggy post... I am just so proud of all of them.
I am hoping to get back into stamping soon .......but it may be a little bit yet.
Thank you all so much for all your wonderful comments.......it just totally makes my day!!!
Take Care!! Have a Great Day!!

Tagged

I've been tagged by Julie at Mutch to Stamp

This is another little tag game to play to share some info about yourself.

Four place I have worked;

1. Full time babysitting for a family when I was just out of school. I took care of 4 children ...they were great kids. I was very young though and was pretty new to cooking...I had to make them and the parents dinner and begin supper. I was petrified!! But no one complained about the food....and no one died..lol.

2. Waitress and short order cook.

3. I almost forgot.... I also sold Fuller Brush for awhile.

Who Wants to be a Butterfly Anyway?

Well, it sure looks like summer is speeding by. The temps have been cool here for the last week....and the air gives a feeling of fall on my nightly walks. I'm not really complaining ....I don't mind fall ...it is such a beautiful season. I also enjoy going to the craft shows that begin in the early fall.

Today we are painting our bathroom and bedroom .....but hubby got sidetracked and is making holes in the bathroom wall. He decided to build in our medicine cabinet... I can hear the saws right now......(it is a little scary). Even though he is a very handy fella....things don't always go according to his plan....and then he is not too happy....I think most wived know what that is like...lol. So anyway...I now have to wait till the hole is finished to start painting...seems like a good time to post.....

Here is an ATC I made a few months ago for one of my daughters....

I mainly used scraps on this card...so am not going to include a supply list...but if anyone has questions feel free to ask.

Thanks for looking and for all your Wonderful comments..it really makes my day!!!

Have a Great Weekend!!!

Anyway this card has NO stamping on it!! ....but hey..it does have ink....
