Be Merry!! - High Hopes Crystal Snowlady!

This card is a case of one of Dawns fabulous cards...(who was the featured stamper last week) you can see her gallery here. I'm late....I had it all planned out last week..but didn't get a chance to play. This is the Beautiful card I cased.

This Cute Snowgal is from High Hopes and is called, "Crystal Snowlady"

This is also my first card using copics (so be kind)....My daughter Trina was visiting a few weeks ago...and brought her copics along for me to try out. I have a lot to learn about using these markers.

I did use a some blue prismas over the snowladies body... a bit of black on the grays....and red for the cheeks.

The background is created by masking the snowlady and using a mop brush dipped in bordering blue.

I used scribbles for the snow and snowflake...sprinkling it with glitter before it dried. Details...like dots...are done with acrylic white paint.

Ink - Memento tuxedo black, bordering blue, pretty in pink

Paper - GP white, my minds eye, blue bayou, wild wasabi

Accessories - cord, ribbon, charm, brads, bling, glitter, acrylic white paint, sewing

Now...here is my answer to the blog candy question.......

My favorite Christmas movie......."It's a Wonderful Life"....with James Stewart...I've watched it since I was a child. I hope to someday to watch it with a grandchild and collect another wonderful moment.

As far as Christmas songs go ....I think I love them all.....especially the ones my children sang when they were little at the Christmas Carol Festivals. The last few years though I must I admit...I also enjoy "Last Christmas" by Wham. Such a catchy little tune...lol...

Magnolia Christmas Box!

Here is cute little round box Magnolia sent me to decorate. I have never taken photos of something like this so I took a few extra ....the top one being the top of the box.
In this photo I am trying to give you the over all look of the box.....not quite sure I've achieved that here....

This photo is of the sides.

The stamp Cute Tilda I used is here is called, "HV08 Tilda with Heart Ornament" and she is from the recent "Holiday Collection 2oo8" The bench is SEA08 Old Bench and is from the "2008 Summer and Sea Collection" You can see all the new Fabulous Collections right here. Images are colored with prismacolor pencils (oms) and h20's. Details are done with acrylic white paint. The edges of the box are painted with, "Folk art pearl paint"

The actual bench is larger than what I have here. I cut the bench in half and just overlapped it to make it smaller for Tilda.

High Hopes Challenge #4

This week the High Hopes Challenge is brought to you by Nikki...and it is a fun one......"Make anything but a card"...and I so enjoyed making these little gift bags!! Be sure to check out the HH Blog to join in and see all the Divas Gorgeous Creations!!
The image I used on the dog biscuit bag is from the High Hopes New Release Stamps....it's called "Christmas Treat" I just love this image....3 of my children have dogs...so I have a few more to make.

This Cute little gingerbread man is one of High Hopes older stamps. I believe this is the "Med Gingerbread Man" They also have a small one and a larger one. This bag contains gingerbread cookies...(of course)...The little gingerbread man can also be used as an ornament or to hang on a peg or nail. I have an eyelet on top of him with a gold cord in it for hanging. I tied the ribbons over the cord to attach the ornament.

Both images are colored with prismacolor pencils and h20's. I used scribbles and glitter on Santa's fur and the gingerbread man's icing.

The woof stamp is a stamp I won in a Challenge...I think it is a Pink Kat Studio stamp.

Paper - GP white, and Michael's

Accessories - ribbon, scribbles, glitter, cellophane bags

Remember...you have till tomorrow night to enter my blog candy on the post below...I will announce the winner Tuesday morning!!

Also ....the High Hopes Blog Hop continues tomorrow...so check out all the Divas blogs to see who is offering more Fabulous blog candy!!

Thanks for looking everyone...and for all your Lovely comments!!!
