Crystal makes beautiful cards...and loves to put lovely big flowers on them. She put some of her Mother's Day cards in my son's store and they literally flew out the door.
Crystal likes so many things...old, new, glitz, colors, and flowers. I tried to put a little of these things into her card.
I heard if you take your photos outside they will be beautiful.....so I took the photo of this card outside....in the garden. I also thought it would be nice to have a different photo other than the one I have on my Splitcoast gallery.
Stamps - SU Big Blossom, Stampendous Bees.
Paper - SU whisper white, Basic Grey, Michaels, Costco. DCWV.
Ink - Classic black, close to cocoa, mellow moss, garden green.
Embellishments - Flowers, brad, cuttlebug for background and corner dies. Coluzzle and scissors for scallops. Sewing, glitter and stardust pen.
**Bees are colored with Prismacolor pencils and oderless mineral spirits. Words (sentiments) are done with the computer and printer.
I needed a large envelope for both of these birthday cards. I had to make something up really quick......nothing fancy....but I thought I would show what I did anyway. It would be nice for a masculine card or a little book if one needed an odd size envelope....
It is just a brown bag with the bottom cut off,
I sewed the bottom closed and turned over the top. I actually scalloped the top before turning over. Added jute for a bow.
Thanks for looking everyone and for all your wonderful comments!
Have a Great Day!

I can't believe that you put your card in the dirt to take that picture...lol!! It does look fantastic, by the way!! Your card has so many elements to it, that I can look at it over and over again and keep noticing things I missed. I love your ideas!!
Your cards are always beautiful Ila. They look so compleicated! Hugs

This is so wonderful! The coloring and shading on your bees in wonderful! And I love how you used Big Blossom as more of a layer than a focal point.

Hey Ila
Thanks for the nice wordz about my blog and my pix. I love your style! I would have guessed these were SU stamps even if you hadn't told us they were. Up until just recently, I have not been a big SU fan. I make and sell my cards so I can't use any of their designs for resale as I don't fall under the parameters they have set. However, they do have very cool and cute stamps - cute but not barfy cute, if you know what I mean. Can't help but smile at some of their images.
BTW, may I link you?
Sandy
