Happy Halloweeeen!!!! and Keep Hoppin"

I couldn't let Halloween go by without making at least one Spook card! The three Spooks on this card are all set to go trick and treating today!!

The stamps I used for this card are from numerous companies.......Magnolia (witch, bat and pumpkin)..... High Hopes - "Frog Prince"........Will n Way - hat on frog prince......Studio G - trick or treat sentiment.

The witch and one of the papers that are showing up in blue are suppose to be Purple...Very Purple!! I don't know why they are blue here...I am hoping when I get my new bulb replacement for my light box I will have purple again in my cards....lol.

All the images are cut out and popped up on foam dimensionals. I cut the crown off of the Frog Prince and replaced it with the little witch hat. I used SU gold cord for the Frog leash that Tilda witch holds.

The glitter on the spider web in real life is not that glittery. I used stickles for the buckle on both witches hat.

The Fabulous SU Halloween papers on this card were given to me by daughter Trina....Thanks Trina!!

He was quite the little poser for these pics.....and he did receive some very nice treats at the end....He knew that too....so was on his best behavior....lol...

High Hopes Challenge #5 and

The High Hopes Challenge this week is to make a card using this fabulous sketch..created by Katharina. Be sure to go to the High Hopes Challenge blog to participate and see the Gorgeous creations the other Divas have come up with!

On this card I have used "Holly the Winter Fairy" this is a High Hopes New Release stamp....you can see all the Fabulous New Releases right here. The Joy sentiment on this card is created using SU ...."The Snowflake Spot".

Holly is colored with prismacolor pencils(oms) and Twinkling h20's to deepen the shading. The details are done with white acrylic paint. I cut Holly out and used foam dimensionals to pop her up.

Ink - versafine black, cranberry crisp, creamy caramel

Paper - Georgia Pacific white, Imagine that, basic grey, SU ruby red

Accessories - prima flowers, button, cord, Martha Stewart punch for leaves, Glitter, scribbles for fur, stickles, stitching, ribbons

It is very cold here and we have had some horrible winds the last few days. I hope it warms up for Halloween......or we are going to have a lot of candy to eat...lol.

Wow.....look at my counter....over 100,000 hits....Thank you all so much!!! I will definitely be celebrating. I will be announcing my candy soon ........but right now I'm waiting for something special to come for it.

High Hopes Challenge #4

This week the High Hopes Challenge is brought to you by Nikki...and it is a fun one......"Make anything but a card"...and I so enjoyed making these little gift bags!! Be sure to check out the HH Blog to join in and see all the Divas Gorgeous Creations!!

The image I used on the dog biscuit bag is from the High Hopes New Release Stamps....it's called "Christmas Treat" I just love this image....3 of my children have dogs...so I have a few more to make.

This Cute little gingerbread man is one of High Hopes older stamps. I believe this is the "Med Gingerbread Man" They also have a small one and a larger one. This bag contains gingerbread cookies...(of course)...The little gingerbread man can also be used as an ornament or to hang on a peg or nail. I have an eyelet on top of him with a gold cord in it for hanging. I tied the ribbons over the cord to attach the ornament.

Both images are colored with prismacolor pencils and h20's. I used scribbles and glitter on Santa's fur and the gingerbread man's icing.

The woof stamp is a stamp I won in a Challenge...I think it is a Pink Kat Studio stamp.

High Hopes Challenge #3 - "Simple Joys"

This week Fun High Hopes Challenge #3 is to Stitch on your card.....this can be done with a sewing machine, by hand or faux stitching.

This card is also for the Cute Card Thursday Challenge #31 which is to have buttons and bows on your card!

For this card I used High Hopes, "Munchin' Melvin Elf" and "cinnamon stick". The sentiment is from a HOTP clear stamp set.

Paper - GP white, imaginisce, basic gray, SU kraft, provo craft

Ink - versafine black, creamy caramel

Accessories - stickles, scribbles, diamond glaze, ribbon, stitching, scallop punch, buttons

We to Trina's today for Thanksgiving Supper today....The food was Fabulous!! and we had a Great time visiting!!....This part of Saskatchewan is in the middle of a winter storm...so the roads were a little tricky today....but we made it back home okay. I sure hope this snow goes away though..lol..I am definitely not ready for winter!!

High Hopes Oct "POTM"

This card features 2 of the stamps offered in this months "Oct. Project of the Month" ..."Three Pane Santa" and "No Peeking, Poking or Shaking". The Oct POTM also includes, "Med Candy Cane", "To: From:" and "Small Candy Cane". This is a Fabulous set and can be used for so many projects.....tags, gift bags...etc. Be sure to check out Kimmies projects right here. You can get this set for 25% off the regular price.

I used the Fabulous Splitcoast SC196 for my layout.

To color the Santas I used prismacolor pencils (oms), twinkling h20's and acrylic white paint for accents.

After I colored the Three pane Santa I cut the Santas out and used dimensionals to pop them and the sentiment up.

For the fur I used "Shiny White Scribbles" and sprinkled glitter on it before it dried.

Ink - versafine black, blue bayou.

Paper - GP white, daisy bucket, basic grey, bazill, costco

Accessories - brads, glitter, stickles, Scribbles, stitching, hemp, cord

High Hopes Challenge #2

High Hopes Challenge #2 is up on the High Hopes Blog. This week we have a Fun challenge by Jeanne to use a combination of blue, brown, green and any neutral. Be sure to check out High Hopes Blog to see the Fabulous cards the other Divas have created...and....Join in the Fun!!

The fabulous stamps I used on this card are High Hopes..."Max the Magnificent" and the sentiment "Magic Happens" ...I also used the swirl stamp from SU's Priceless set

I colored the images with prismacolor pencils (oms) and deepened the shading with Twinkling h20's. Acrylic white paint, diamond glaze and stickles were used for the details.

To create the background...I mask the image and used a soft brush to add barely banana ink to the top area and another brush to add bashful blue to the bottom area.

The bunny in the hat and the front right bunny are popped up with foam dimensionals.

The sentiment is embossed with black detail embossing pdr.

Ink - versafine black, barely banana, bashful blue, creamy caramel

Accessories - flower, lace, stickles, diamond glaze, foam dimensionals, embossing pdr, nestabilities, stitching

Yesterday we celebrated my Mother's 90 birthday! ...a little early (it is actually Nov 20) but this was a time in which all her children could get together...which rarely happens. It was Wonderful!!! She looked wonderful!!...and it was so nice to see everyone!

I have also been tagged by Linniepink, Michelle, Crissy, Lacey.... to "Share 7 facts about yourself on your blog some random, some weird".

This is going to be hard ......as I have shared this twice before...and I am really not all that interesting....but I will give it a go anyway.

1. I love to sit and swing on our patio swing outside.....basically I like anything that rocks. In fact sometimes when I am standing talking to someone...I rock a little back and forth....I have to catch myself. Weird Huh???....and yes...I also have my own special rocking chair my hubby bought for me...lol.

2. I love onions and garlic......baked onion soup is one of my favorites...and I love garlic in pretty well anything....well except for sweets..lol.

3. I hate dusting.......and I leave it as much as possible....unless someone is coming over and then I run like mad to dust things off.

4. I have 4 older brothers....and when I was around 4 yrs old ..... I use to tell everyone that I was a boy too. I did not want to be a girl.......So my parents friends would come over and say, " Oh aren't you a pretty little girl?"......and I would get very agitated and say..."I'm not a girl...I'm a boy!". Did I really think I was a boy?...I don't think so...but who wants to be a girl in a house full of boys that are always doing fun stuff?...lol.

5. I love going on Road trips.........I really enjoy stopping along the way at different towns....checking out the stores or even just stopping at the gas stations that have convenience stores ...just to look around.

6. I use to love cross country skiing....I still do but haven't had time in the last few years. Anyway....hubby and I both loved it ...and we were even instructors for a kids ski club...called Jack Rabbit. When we were asked by the city to do it...they let all our kids join free......(all five)..what a great deal......and ...we had a great time.

7. I love taking a nice long bath....with lots of bubbles....Oh ...I like showers of course too....especially when I don't have much time....but I do enjoy a nice soak.
