Clucky Happy Birthday!

It was my son's 31st. Birthday on Friday. He owns a great little business in Melville, SK. called the "Peddler Shop". He sells a great variety of goods..(candy, food, toys, gifts, sporting goods, electronic accessories, handmade soap, scrap booking name it..he just may have it!) He also rents out Videos, DVDs, Games and fixes Bikes. He is a hardworking, kind, generous, "Terrific Guy" with a Great sense of Humour. (did I also mention he also gives me great deals?...on videos and whatever...why?? cause I'm the Lucky Mama of course..hahha).

This card got a chuckle out of him........

I used SU card stock and inks. Image is a Penny Black stamp and is water colored with H20's. Sentiments are SU. Basic Grey and Costco paper. The chicken wire bkgrd. is Costco paper put through the printer with a template I downloaded from Inkstains. The ribbon is from Michael's. The accents are done with Sakura pens and Scribbles (on the cakes). I have two sewing that is wonderful (cost a small fortune)and one that has always been a pain in the butt..always tangling..broken thread etc...For some reason it sews paper just fine...Yay!!

I have another son that has a Birthday will be uploading again soon......Happy Spring!!

ATC's Again!!

It seems like I have been travelling here and there most weekends for the last month. I was in Saskatoon this last weekend, visiting my mother. She is doing very well (88 ys old) and it was so nice to see her.

I also stopped at Michaels for a few minutes and bought some new paper by K&Company. It is very nice paper..faily heavy, double sided, 36 sheets in a 12x12 pad. It was only $16.99..I thought that was very reasonable considering I also used a 40% off coupon. There were small pads of textured paper that matched these large pads....also double sided for only 6.99 each. Very nice quality!!

I have some ATC's to share. They are mainly made of assorted paper scraps...I have a few more I will upload later as well as a card.....I hope..

Tagged !!

I've been tagged by Maria to list 7 random facts/habits about myself and then tag seven others. Sounds like here I go....

* I like to add 2-3 T. of melted real butter to my microwave diet popcorn....I know...I know..what's the point??

* I hate to see dirty dishes in the fact I even hate seeing dirty dishes in the sink!! Does that mean I am paranoid about washing them...nooooo........I love my dishwasher!!...and just keep storing them in there.

* I married my husband when I was fact we were both 18...we were like glue since we started dating. This year we will celebrate our 34th Anniversary!!

* I ran a homecraft business for over 10 yrs. Decorative, Folk Art Painting and Woodcrafts being the major part of it. My husband was my woodcrafter and we participated in many large craft shows. Two of my daughters make beautiful crafts as well and helped out tremendously with these shows. It was lots of work but also a lot of fun!!

* I love coffee.....I mean I really love coffee! I use to drink tons of it....(like a car needing fuel to run). I have to limit it now...drastically...and drink half decaffeinated ....but I still love it!!

* I smoked for almost 20 yrs. I quit in my 30's with my hubby. It was very hard but well worth it!!

* When I was fifteen I took Drivers Ed which was something new offered at that time in my school. Of course I got a early learners licence...convinced my parents that with this special licence I could drive by myself...borrowed their car and had a ball driving around with my friends... I know I was a terrible daughter.......but I certainly had no problem passing my drivers on the morning of my 16 th Birthday!!

Okay...that is seven random facts/habits about myself....Now to tag seven others to play ..if they can .. and haven't already been tagged. Have a great day everyone!!

ATC Time!!

Happy Easter Everyone!! We had a very nice weekend with good company and food. The weather was a little cool..but it seems to be warming up today.
I have begun to try and make atc's. I think they are such neat little works of art. Collage type of art is very new to me as well but this was fun to make. I hope to make many more...

The background paper in this atc is from a blog candy win from Julie K in Tawaiin..(thanks Julie)

The atc base is from a deck of playing cards. The image is a free image I picked up on the net..reduced in size and printed. Black cardstock is Michaels. Assorted scraps and lace are from my large old stash of craft suplies. I accented with stardust pens and inked the edges with SU inkpads.

I gave this card to my daughter Trina........
