Hey! Chicky!

Thank you all So Much for all your kind words and Congratulating me for being on the Magnolia Design Team!! You all really made my Day!!!....How lucky can a gal get.......Big Hugs to all of you!!

I can't complain too much about the weather. These last few days have been very pleasant. So nice that we went to visit my daughter Trina over the weekend. We went shopping to every place that sold stamp and scrapbook things in Estevan. What a great time we had.....Trina and I did anyway.....don't know too much about the hubby's though. It's kind of funny how they always look so worried when Trina and I go shopping....lol....I can hardly wait to get together with her again....

On with the card.

This cute little Chicky is called "Easter Chickadee" and is from High Hopes Rubber Stamps I used diamond glaze on both bows and beak of the chick...glitter on the flowers and lace on the collar. The image and sentiment is popped up.

"Easter Chickadee" is colored with Prismacolor pencils (OMS) and H20's to deepen the shading.

Stamps: High Hopes Stamps (Easter Chickadee), Karen Foster snap stamps

Paper: whisper white, Michael's, Provo craft slab

Ink: versafine black, perfect plum, buckaroo blue, bashful blue

Accessories: baubles, brads, flowers, fibre, stardust pens, stickles, diamond glaze, glitter, stitching

***Many people have asked me about the coloring ...I have tried to answer as many as I could ...but some people who comment don't have their profile available to the public so I could not get their email addresses........I am planning to have a tutorial up within the next month..so hopefully that will answer a lot of your questions***

***Magnolia Stamps***

I've also had quite a few people ask me where they can get Magnolia stamps. Phebe from The Town Scrapper in Canada is the gal to email. I will put her link up on the bar....but you may also just click on here - The Town Scrapper. She will ship to US as well. Other than that I you can click on Magnolia on my side bar (where it states I am a design team member) I believe they will ship internationally***

Thank you all for looking and your Wonderful comments!! Have a Great Day Everyone!!!

Happy Birthday!!!

It is finally getting warmer in our area of Saskatchewan....after a week long deep freeze. I took my "Buddy" for a walk yesterday and will be able to today as well. Oh.. I so hope.. it stays warm for longer than 2 days. In fact an early spring is exactly what we need..lol.

See the balloons on this card?...I finally played with the Cricut I got for Xmas!! Wow ....there are so many possibilities with this little machine and it cuts like a dream. I'm hoping to use it more..now that I know how.

The Adorable Scotty Dog is from High Hopes Stamps

The Lovely Tilda is from Magnolia

The sentiment is from Gelatins.

I made this card to enter in Katherina's Blog Candy Challenge and used her Fabulous sketch

I also wanted to participate in this weeks Tilda & Co Challenge which was to use string on the card. I have string on the balloons and gold string for the necklace and bracelet I added on the Tilda. You will probably need to click to enlarge the photo to see these items.

I used prismacolor pencils (oms) and Twinkling h20's to color the dog and Tilda.

I used diamond glaze on the cake (candle and flower) and the dogs nose.

On with the recipe........

Stamps - High Hopes Stamps "Scotty Dog", Tilda from Magnolia, sentiment from Gelatins.

Happy Valentines Day!!

I hope everyone is having a Fabulous Valentines Day!!...My hubby just called a short while ago to say he has to work overtime...(lol...he'll have to make that up on the weekend). Since he won't be home for supper...I have time to post!

To make this card I participated in the SC color challenge..(tempting turquoise, green gallore and kraft). This was really something new for me..I usually don't use such bright colors....and I kept finding myself trying to tone it down. I also used the SC146 sketch.

The image is from High Hopes Stamps. There are a few stamps there with these cute little possums. I will have another card in the near future with a pair of them. They have so many Great new stamps and always more coming...it blows my mind. Crissy Armstrong is the main artist for High Hopes and she always comes up with the most fabulous designs. She also makes the most Gorgeous cards.....You can check out her gallery here....Crissy's Gallery

Divine and Mine!

I hope everyone is having a good weekend. Our weather continues to be very cold...I can't believe Valentines Day is almost here. Seems like it was just Christmas. I hope spring and warm weather come as quickly.

I have Valentine Card today. The sentiments on this card are computer generated. They were inspired by a wall hanging my daughter bought for our last wedding aniversary.

The main image is a High Hopes Stamp called "Snuggle Lions". Don't they look in love? You can find this stamp by clicking right here.

I combined 3 challenges on this card....a first for me......the SC160 sketch, WT150 ways to use it and the CC150 color challenge. It was fun!

The border was made with the Fiskars punch. This is the first time I used it...great punch!!

Prismacolor Pencils, Twinkling H20's and acrylic paint (accents) were used to color the image.

Stamps: High Hopes "Snuggle Lions"

Paper: whisper white, blue bayou, soft sky, costco red

Ink: versafine black, blue bayou, soft sky, real red, close to cocoa, creamy caramel

Accessories: ribbon, bling, stitching, stickles, stardust pen

Techniques: prismacolor pencils, watercoloring, acrylic paint

Have a Great Day! and Thanks for looking!!!

You get the Posing Bunny stamp, Hoppy Easter sentiment and 3 different little easter eggs that are so fun to color and use for accents.
