Happy Valentines Day!!

I hope everyone is having a Fabulous Valentines Day!!...My hubby just called a short while ago to say he has to work overtime...(lol...he'll have to make that up on the weekend). Since he won't be home for supper...I have time to post!

This will probably be my last Valentine card for this year. But never say never right?

To make this card I participated in the SC color challenge..(tempting turquoise, green gallore and kraft). This was really something new for me..I usually don't use such bright colors....and I kept finding myself trying to tone it down. I also used the SC146 sketch.

The image is from High Hopes Stamps. There are a few stamps there with these cute little possums. I will have another card in the near future with a pair of them. They have so many Great new stamps and always more coming...it blows my mind. Crissy Armstrong is the main artist for High Hopes and she always comes up with the most fabulous designs. She also makes the most Gorgeous cards.....You can check out her gallery here....Crissy's Gallery

On to the recipe...

Stamps: High Hopes Stamps (Overwheming Love), Michaels, SU Paisley

Paper: whisper white, tempting turquoise, kraft, green galore

Ink: versafine black, tempting turquoise, close to cocoa, choc chip, bordering blue, garden green

Accessories: robins nest, ribbon, CB hearts, fiskars punches, stickles, stardust pens, stitching

Techniques: Prismacolor Pencils (OMS) and H20's

If you have any questions feel free to ask...or email me.

Thank you for Looking everyone and Thank You for all your Wonderful comments!!

Fabulous!! I just love this, I'm also amazed how you managed to capture some of the shimmer on film, I have such a hard time doing that. The coloring is fantastic, and the little ruffle corners are such a perfect little accent. You are always so great at adding little details that add so much to your image!

Hi Ila! Hope you had a great Valentine's Day. I never tire of looking at your cards. I have learned so much. I still haven't been brave enough to try the H2O's with my prismacolor. I will though, one of these days. This is another great card. I noticed you had been poking around in my SCS gallery again, thanks so much for the comments. I have to get all my V day cards uploaded. I finally finished them, now I have to remember what I did to upload -- writing down the recipe just doesn't provide near the challenge!

I just love this card! This is probably the only possum I think is cute. They usually give me the creeps (real ones that is)! Your little Buddy is also so adorable.
One more thing, I have seen stickles on so many cards, where did you get them from?
Take care,
Sharon
